How we can help

Flora Budenberg, founder of Peach Health

“Many of the women we work with feel like they are losing control of their own bodies. They find themselves at the mercy of their hormones, feeling flat, achy, foggy, and tired—like they’re wading through treacle. Some want to make changes but feel stuck, gaining weight despite eating less and exercising more. Others feel overwhelmed by the constant noise and conflicting advice about nutrition, unsure where to start. Whether it’s perimenopause, PMS, a chronic condition, or navigating HRT, many women aren’t getting answers that connect their symptoms to their wider health. We work to change that.

For these symptoms, understanding your biochemistry is always the first step. Our approach uses advanced functional testing to establish your hormone status across adrenal, female sex hormone, thyroid, and blood sugar systems. Disruption to hormones often occurs as a result of imbalances elsewhere, so we explore the broader picture to get to the root cause: your lifestyle, physiology, genetics, gut health, and nutrient status.

Our personalised strategies are built around your life stage and unique biochemistry. Working privately together allows us to apply nutrition in a targeted and individualised way. We focus on implementing strategies that are both effective and sustainable long-term—not just another ‘plan’ that doesn’t fit your lifestyle or life phase.”

Hormone Replacement Therapy

Our clinicians are focused on creating the best environment for your body to reap the benefits from HRT. We assess your hormone metabolites and how they interact with other key stress and blood sugar hormone systems. We can also offer alternatives to HRT if you decide it’s not the right path for you.

While we don’t prescribe HRT ourselves as nutritional therapists, we work alongside a network of holistic GPs and gynaecologists that we have collaborated for many years. To ensure we are offering you the most individualised and integrated care, we can refer you to a trusted specialist where needed.

Frequently asked questions

  • Hormone imbalance occurs when hormones are produced in excess or deficiency, or when the body struggles to regulate or metabolise them effectively. Common contributing factors include chronic stress, under-fueling, blood sugar dysregulation, gut health issues, inflammation, poor sleep, and life stages such as perimenopause.

Symptoms can include irregular periods, PMS, acne, weight changes, low energy, mood changes, and disrupted sleep. Nutrition and lifestyle play a foundational role in supporting hormonal balance.

  • Hormone testing is always personalised and based on symptoms, health history and goals. Where appropriate, we may recommend testing that looks at patterns in key hormones rather than single snapshots.

This can include sex hormones such as oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone, as well as stress hormones like cortisol and relevant thyroid markers.

In some cases, we use the DUTCH Test (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones), which provides insight into how hormones are metabolised in the body including assessment of adrenal health and some understanding of nutrient status via testing organic acids. This can be particularly helpful for understanding hormone patterns in areas such as PMS, PCOS, perimenopause and menopause.

Testing helps us move beyond a diagnosis and provides guidance for explaining an individual's symptoms, which allows us to provide targeted nutrition, lifestyle and supplement recommendations.

  • Yes. Nutrition is a core part of PCOS support. Evidence-based nutrition strategies can help improve insulin sensitivity, support ovulation, reduce inflammation, and manage symptoms such as irregular cycles, acne, and energy fluctuations.

PCOS nutrition is not one-size-fits-all - it’s about personalised dietary support that works with your physiology, preferences and lifestyle rather than extreme or restrictive approaches.

A personalised nutrition approach focuses on identifying root causes, supporting digestion, and improving gut function rather than relying on long-term restriction. For many clients, this leads to sustainable symptom relief rather than short-term fixes.

  • Nutrition can play a meaningful role in symptom management. Targeted dietary strategies may help reduce inflammation, support gut and immune health, and stabilise blood sugar - all of which can influence pain, fatigue and digestive symptoms commonly experienced alongside endometriosis.

Our approach focuses on supporting the body alongside medical care, not replacing it.

  • During perimenopause and menopause, hormonal fluctuations can affect mood, sleep, energy, weight distribution, gut health and bone health. Nutrition can help support these changes by stabilising blood sugar, supporting the gut–hormone connection, reducing inflammation, and ensuring adequate intake of key nutrients such as protein, fibre and micronutrients.

Personalised nutrition support helps women adapt their diet to this life stage rather than fighting against their changing physiology.

  • HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) involves prescribing hormones to replace declining levels and can be highly effective for many women, particularly for menopausal symptoms.

Nutritional hormone support does not replace hormones but instead supports the body’s own hormone production, metabolism and regulation through diet, lifestyle and targeted supplements. The two approaches are not mutually exclusive - in fact, an individual on HRT may find it very useful to do a DUTCH Test (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) to help them get the best results from the prescription given.
