WEIGHT LOSS MEDICATION SUPPORT

Protecting your health on GLP-1s

Side effects, muscle loss, nutrient depletion, and changes to your gut and metabolism are rarely addressed as part of GLP-1 treatment, but they are enormously important for your long-term health.

We help you support your body alongside weight loss medication, so you can build results that last.

Results should feel as good as they look

“GLP-1 medications can be highly effective for weight loss - but lasting results depend on more than the drug itself.

How you support your body during treatment can influence side effects, muscle mass, energy levels and long-term health.
With the right nutritional strategy, you can improve how you feel during treatment and help make results last.”

Personalised
support

“If you are taking, considering, or coming off a GLP-1 medication, personalised nutrition support can help you manage symptoms, protect your health, and achieve more sustainable outcomes.”

- Cynthia De Maria, Peach Practitioner

We look at more than whether your weight is coming off

Standard prescriber monitoring is designed to check whether the medication is causing immediate harm - it doesn't show the full picture of how your body is being affected.

We designed a comprehensive blood panel specifically for people on weight loss medications. We test 44 markers - covering nutrient status, liver function, blood sugar, thyroid, kidney health, and more - which is more comprehensive than other GLP-1 monitoring tests in the UK market.

Where appropriate, we’ll recommend additional functional tests to we build a comprehensive picture of how weight loss medication is affecting your health. The GI 360 gut test is often particularly helpful for understanding and managing effects of the medication on the gut.

We work directly with partner labs, so we’re also able to offer many tests at preferential rates for Peach clients.

GLP-1 affects a lot more than weight

GLP-1 prescriptions have surged - millions are now using these drugs for weight loss. But alongside their rise, many people struggle with side effects like digestive symptoms, nausea, fatigue, or muscle loss. In fact, research suggests that 25–40% of weight lost during GLP-1 treatment can come from lean muscle mass.

And wider consequences, such as nutrient depletion, gut disruption, hormonal shifts, rarely get the attention they deserve.

Using targeted, applied nutrition, we work with you to significantly reduce these symptoms and improve long-term results.

Look at the big picture.

Your top questions, answered

  • No. Peach is a functional health practice, not a prescribing service. We work alongside your existing prescriber to make sure the rest of your health is supported while you’re on medication. Think of us as the nutritional arm of your care team.

  • All three. Getting a baseline picture of your health before starting is particularly useful for tracking changes over time. During treatment is when nutritional support has the greatest impact on side effects, muscle preservation, and long-term outcomes. And coming off medication is a critical window - when appetite rebounds and eating patterns matter more than ever.

  • Yes. Digestive symptoms, fatigue, hair loss, and other side effects are among the areas most responsive to targeted nutritional intervention. Where symptoms are persistent, gut testing can help identify what is driving them at a deeper level.

  • Testing is always personalised, but typically includes a comprehensive blood panel covering nutrient status, metabolic markers, liver function, thyroid, lipids, and hormonal markers, alongside gut microbiome and digestive testing where digestive symptoms are present or microbiome support is needed. Your practitioner will discuss which panels are most relevant for you on your discovery call.
